BG 9.22

Verse 22 of Chapter 9 — The Royal Knowledge.
ananyāś cintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate | teṣāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yoga-kṣemaṁ vahāmy aham ||
Sanskrit / Transliteration

TRANSLATION

For those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form, I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.

EXPLANATION

The most intimate promise in the Bhakti Kanda — and perhaps the most personal verse in the entire Gita. Krishna is speaking directly: for the one who is consistently devoted, the divine itself takes responsibility. 'I carry what they lack' — the gap is filled. 'I preserve what they have' — the good is protected. This is not a promise of material prosperity but of spiritual completeness. The consistently devoted person is not abandoned. The verse has been a source of deep consolation to billions of practitioners across centuries.
